In the widely popular video game series in Japan known as Ryu ga Gotoku, there was a spin off in the series called Ryu ga Gotoku KENZAN! 龍が如く見参！The main character of the game is really Miyamoto Musashi! The Ryu ga Gotoku series is developed and published by SEGA. In America we call the series "Yakuza". The first two games have been released in America, and the 3rd one has been announced for the West. Sadly, Ryu ga Gotoku KENZAN! 龍が如く見参！ hasn't been announced for a localization.
Its a shame that Western gamers won't get a chance to take the role of Musashi in a video game. The only way to play it is to import the game from Japan and use the English Guide at Game FAQ.
The game does feature the same game play as all the other Ryu ga Gotoku games, just not set in modern times, instead in 1605, staring the main character of the series playing the role of Miyamoto Musashi. It can certainly give you a lesson in Japanese history. The game also includes Musashi's sword styles and even the famous duels he had!!
